I am using the Roxio Creator and I put in the DVD I want to burn. Takes like 5-10 minutes and then the disc tray opens I them insert a brand new disc that says DVD+R and it then spits it back saying it needs to be blank or rewriteable.
I dont know how to tell which DVD burner I have but if I have one that is RW can i not use the disc that say +r?

It says its Phillips DVD+-RW DVD8801 and its Roxio Creator LE. And I am trying to copy a DVD using AnyDVD software
AnyDVD is software that has capabilities that are in violation of the Dell Forum's Terms of Service. It has nothing to do with Roxio or any other legitimate software manufacture.
I suggest you contact SlySoft (
nice name) about this. And I will recommend this thread be removed.

Roxio Creator is a name that covers about 16 to 20 different programs! Like saying " I drive a GM car, what's wrong?". Which program are you using?
What exactly is the Source disc? (I think this might be the problem…)
Open Device Manager (Win-Pause keys, Hardware tab, Device Manager button) and expand the 'plus' sign by "DVD/CD/ROM drives"
What is listed? IE: SONY CD-RW CRX700E; TOSHIBA DVDE-ROM SD—C2502

I do appreciate your honesty in explaining this.
