Deleting Upper/Lower Filters

Question

I have a DVD-rom  and DVD-CDRW internal in my machine. I also have a DVD-CDRW External USB 2.0 drive. I am having some issues and wish to delete the filters in the registry.   Im upper filters I have 3 entries   UPPERFILTERS Upperfilters Upperfilters   The same with lower filters there are 3 entries. Is this normal because I have 3 devices? Should all UPPER & LOWER filters be deleted? 6 entries in total.   Bill   Dimention 4500 80GB HD 512MB Ram Windows XP Service pack 2

Thanks Osprey!   I downloaded Guided help from microsoft. I haven't tried it yet, need some time when the little ones are all in bed. I need some uniteruped time.  :)   Bill
