Dell Studio Hybrid desktop (D101G04) fails to eject the trapped CD
I have not had any problems using educational CDs in my Dell Studio Hybrid desktop before, but while listening to one CD belonging to my teacher I found that my desktop fails to eject the CD. I very much appreciate if anyone can help with the cause of this faileure and how to fix the problem.

Power the PC off, then on, immediately press the CD eject button.

The better section to post this in, is the Disk Drives (HDD, CD/DVD, Blu-ray) forum HERE.

Many thanks for your suggestion, I tried it but it did not work. It seems the DVD/CD drive tries to eject the CD several times, but there is a shutter which is in the cosed state and does not allow for the CD to pop out and causes the Eject action to fail.

I tried Chris' solution to no avail, although my problem is slightly different; after burning a disk using the pre-installed Roxio software, the disk ejected (as usual), however I have since been unable to insert a disk. The drive is acting as if there is still a disk in there. Any ideas?
