The most recent adaptec easy cd upgrades add support for additional burners. If yours wasn't supported before the upgrade and is now, the upgrades will obviously make a difference. Otherwise, they do not change anything.
I've just downloaded an upgrade but haven't installed it yet. In my files they are clearly mp3 and musicmatch recognizes them. I'll try the upgrade.

I have a Dimension XPS-T500
Please note that my system has the following components: Hitachi GD 5000 DVD-ROM Sony CD-RW CRX100E
My problem occurs when using the Adaptec EZ CD creator in creating an audio CD on a CD-R Disc. I have been trying to create an Audio CD which is comprised of individual tracks from several different CD's. After creating a layout, the program seems to lay down the first track okay. It then requests that the next Audio CD be inserted into my Hitachi CD-ROM. The program seems to be unable to sense that I have inserted the correct Audio CD, as it ejects and re-requests that I insert the needed CD. Even if I skip to the next audio CD on my layout, it is unable to sense that I have inserted the requested CD.
I have tried two different brands of CD-R media without success....I HAVE been able to pre-record my selections to my hard drive and then record to the CD-R, but would like to avoid this extra step if possible.....
I had an old Dimension XPS-T450 myself with Adaptec EZ CD creator (now Roxio). Being an older computer it just wasn't very fast for burning CDs. and it is positively too slow for a DVD burner. I had to get a new XPS for that.
The solution for me was to make sure you close all open programs. Then burn the disc from the hard drive.
Roxio can burn discs on the fly. But the Dimension XPS-T500 is just too slow to do the audio extraction and Burn the disc at the same time. This old computer just can't walk and chew gum simulataneously.
SOLUTION. You can use Real Player to do the audio extraction or another program for the audio extraction. I'm sure you would like to skip this step but the computer is just too slow. (I did burn discs in real time at like 2X speed but there is more chance for errors.) Transfer all the wav files to your hard drive in a easily found folder. I had a C:/burn folder.
Open Roxio and select the wav files from the HARD drive. Then click Roxio to start the burn.. During burning do not use the computer...its causes clicks and pops on older computers to burn and surf at the same time.
Allow Roxio to COMPLETELY finishing burning the disc.
Let us know how it goes....

Hi Naveenantenna,
This thread is nearly seven years old. Let me recommend you start a new message, but please describe your problem in more detail.
