Error code 2000-0142 validation: 120088 while running hardware diagnostics

Question

Hi, My dell laptop Inspiron 3537 started giving beep sound while powering on the laptop. To troubleshoot that i ran hardware diagnostics by pressing F12 while booting. After running the diagnostics, the below error was shown Hard Drive 0 - DST Short Test test results: fail error code: 2000-0142 validation 120088 msg: hard drive 0 -S/N WXD1E63RRFU2, Short self test unsuccessful Please help in resolving this issue. My warranty of hardware has expired. Regards, Deepak

deep20288, The error code represents a failed hard drive. The hard drive needs to be replaced.
