Error message that says A disk read error occurred

Question

I own a Dell Netbook Inspiron Mini 10, with Windows XP and when i turn it on an error message pops up that says A disk read error occurred, Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart. So I pressed F12 to run the Hardware diagnosis and it came up with several errors under the hard drive section. For example one of the error messages says: Error Code 0F00:1344. Msg: DISK - Block 170928: Can't read, replace disk I have no clue what to do now and I really need this to get fixed, if anyone can help me with this at all please reply to this and tell me what to do because at this point I am just about to punch my computer. PLEASE HELP!!!

You need a new hard drive - the one you have has failed.

Yah I know i need a new one but I was wondering if there was any other way to fix it besides spending like 70 dollars on a new one.

No, there is no way to fix the existing drive.  It must be replaced.
