Osprey, I am operating XP, someone else suggested right click on the disk drive and choose finalise disk, but this doesn't come up as an option in XP.
I made the video in ULead Video Studio 7, and the create disk didn't highlight as an available option, so I made a VCD file, and then copied to disk in my computer. When I put it in my DVD it tries to read, but says disk error, and the DVD instruction manual says it must be finalised. I know it doesn't automatically finalise because I have tried to copy another file to the disk and it will accept it.
Any further help appreciated - am sure its something simple I am just missing.

You used XP Burning to create the disc and XP Burning cannot Finalize a disk.
You should have an authoring program on your PC (Sonic, Roxio, Nero) and you can try it there.
I am curious as to the resulting disc structure… What Folders does it have?
Also keep in mind that DVD Players are dropping support for VCD/SVCD faster than you can spell DVD. Even finalized, it may not play.

Julie:
Please post your system and OS. What burning software are you using to make the VCD?
