Finding Original CD/DVD Driver & CD/DVD RW Driver online

SOMEHOW, the drivers for my CD/DVD & CD/DVD drives are missing and I need to recover them in oder to use my drives. The Control Panel no longer shows these drives.
I am running a Dell Dimension 8300 with Windows XP.

The drives are:

Part # Part Description

Y0607 DVD, 680M, 16x, I, F5, HDLS, 01 => for the CD/DVD Reader &

T0103 DVD, +RW, 4, 7, NEC, 4x, DVD+R, 01, V2 => for the CD/DVD Read/Write device

I do have the original Dell CD for my machine which has the drivers BUT I can not access the drivers because I can not read the CD... A Catch-22 situation...

I did look under Drivers & Downloads under CD/DVD and nothing works.

Help!

When the drives do not show in the Device manager, it is often
a poor connection.  Open the system and redo the connections at
the back of the drives.  Follow the IDE flat ribbon cable to the
motherboard and redo the connection there also.

Upon startup, press F2 while the blue Dell is on the screen and
enter the Setup (BIOS).  Enter the Drive Configuration.  The two
drives should be on the Primary or Secondary IDE channels.  Make
sure the Channels the drives are on is set to AUTO.
