Flash update causes computer to not recognize dvd/cdrw combo drive.
I have a Dimension 8100 PROCESSOR, 80528, 1.8GHZ, OK, 400, SOCKET W, C0
with a cdrw/dvd DIGITAL VIDEO DISK DRIVE, 4G, I, INTERNAL, 5.25" FORM FACTOR, COMBINATION, SAMSUNG. I did a firmware Flash, now the BIOS does not see the drive.
I saw a post like this but not a dimension. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

HI,
Try a BIOS reset using the recommended hot key sequence for your model machine or in BIOS itself.
Or simply pop the motherboard battery out for 30 minutes or so. Whilst the battery is out press the start button on th efront of the casing.

I tried both of those but its still not identifying the drive.
