HELP! Explorer.EXE cannot find SHDOCVW.dll???
As soon as I log to my PC, I receive such message. Can't get past screensaver. Says reinstalling may help, but what do I reinstall ? What if I can't find the CD? (The PC was turned off during a restoring point.)

While your problem is not related to your hard drive, I would suggest you run IE Repair. Go to Add/Remove Programs, select Internet Explorer and you'll be given the option to run IE repair.
If that does not work, you may have been infected or hijacked and you should visit the virus/spyware forum. It will help if you post your system and OS.
