Hard disk not detecting for data recovery

Hi,

I use Dell Latitude E6410, and the hard disk got corrupted. The tech support team in my company could unencrypt the hard disk, but while they try to recover the data by connecting to another laptop, the hard disk in not getting detected. Appreciate if anyone could please advise of any tools that can be used to recover the data from the hard disk. Thanks

Hi shazub,

The hard drive has to get detected first, only then you can use data recovery tools to recover the data from it. If not I am afraid you will have to contact data recovery specialists who will recover by other means.

I would advise you to connect the hard drive to original Dell system and check if the hard drive is getting detected in the BIOS, in addition please run the diagnostics on the system to check if the hard drive is good.

The first element in recovering data from a hard disc is the hardware configuration. With data recovery it is important that the disk being recovered is not written to.If a drive has failed, or has been corrupted, nothing must be loaded onto it, and it should be moved into a new computer and accessed as just a slave, ‘data’ drive.  CnW Software can then be loaded on a new host computer.

At all times with the software F1 function key will give a context sensitive help screen, and the help system gives examples of typical recovery procedures.

Windows data recovery is a perfect data recovery tool which can restore data like files, folders, video, audio and other files more than 180 file types from corrupted Windows partitions such as FAT/FAT12/FAT32/FAT64 and NTFS/NTFS5 file system. Go through this website http://www.datarepairtools.com to know more about the software.

Hi Shazub,

As your have mentioned that the hard disk is corrupted and when you are connecting it with a laptop, the same is not detecting. This clearly means that it is a case of physical damage.

If the hard disk might have been detected by the computer system, then you can try out with some data recovery software to recover the data. But as it is now not even getting detected, you must approach some data recovery professionals

I know that I replied late, but I hope my advice will help people who have the same problem later. If you are looking for a reliable data recovery tool that wants to recover data on your hard drive when it is not detected, I would recommend AnyRecover I have used myself. It provides a targeted mode for recovering hard drive data, which I think is great.
