Could be the hard drive is failing, or has issues, try running diagnostics extended test on the drive and report back.
Turn on (or restart) your computer.
When the DELLlogo appears, press immediately. Select Diagnostics from the boot menu and press .
Press any key to start the Dell Diagnostics from the diagnostics utility partition on your hard drive.
Also, backup any files and folders you wish to save to other media, eg, a USB thumb/flash drive, or an USB external hard drive ASAP.
Bev.

Possibly a drive reaching its MTBF (mean time before failure) value. Please do a BIOS self-test (if available) , alternatively download Crystal DiskInfo to check the health of the drive that way. If the status is Caution (amber) or Bad (RED) appears, its time to upgrade that HDD to SSD if possible.
