Help Needed
If I go to add and remove page and remove each program, will I be able to restore my computer with my DRIVERS AND UTILITIES (Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 964 disk) to where my computer is back to all erased and restored to factory condition? Will it also be able at that point (after removing all programs) to install from the disk ? Need HELP desperately[*-)!!!! I have Dell XPS DXP051 Pentium (R) D CPU 2.80GHz 2.79GHz 1.00 GB of Ram Physical Address Extension with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

With XP, the way to restore the system is to press CTRL and F11 together once at the Dell screen and follow the prompts.
That said, XP goes end of life (no further security updates) on April 9, 2014 -- less than two months from now, so it's time to upgrade to a current version of Windows (Vista, 7 or 8).

I did this, then nothing is happening. Did the analyze of Hard Drive it says every thing checks OK. On the set up screen (Dell System DXP051) I set it to factory default setting and now it goes to Dell Logo screen that says Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A05, copyright 1985-1988 Phoenix Technologies Ltd., Copyright 1990-2006 Dell Inc., All Rights Reserved, Dell DXP051 Series, Bios version A05, www.dell.com, Performing automatic IDE configuration..., Drive 0: Disk Drive, Drive 4: CD-ROM Devise, Type the system password and press enter , Enter Password: I enter the pass word and press enter, then it says, Floppy diskette seek failure, Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 key to run the set utility. So I Strike the F1 key. then it goes to a screen that has at the top center that says "www.dell.com" and under that it says Loading PBR for descriptor 2...done. It (I think) wants me to type something but I am lost here?????? Please Help please

Insert your OS disc in the drive. Once you type your password, quickly press F12 and boot from the CD/DVD drive (the menu will appear).

EJN63 , Since I did what you suggested on Feb. 07, 2014 @ 5:08pm. All I can do is check my system (everything checks out OK). When I start computer it goes to dell logo screen then it goes to Black screen that asks me ( top left corner) to type password and press then it asks me to strike F1 to continue, F2 to run the setup utility. -------------- F1--- goes to black screen saying Loading PBR for descriptor 2...done. with ___ blinking underneath of that..... Nothing seems to be able to type from key board....---------- striking F2---goes to Dell System DXP051 system setup screen... If I restart computer and @ Dell Logo press F12---- It goes to Boot Device Menu ----1st choice is---- Onboard SATA Hard drive---- goes to the same screen as mentioned that F1 does above ----2nd choice is ----Onboard or USB CD-ROM Drive----it says selected boot device not available ----3rd choice is -----System Setup----and it goes to system setup ------4th choice ----Hard drive Diagnostics----then says Hard Drive Diagnostics running, please wait... ---Drive 0: WDC WD2500JS-75NCB3- PASS - Drive 1: No Device-- Drive 2: No Device-- Drive 3-- No Device-- Drive 4: HL-DT-STDVD+-RW GSA-H21N- Diagnostics not supported-- Drive 5: No Device Test complete, press to reboot...... When I press It goes to Dell Logo screen then to password input (after placing password) press then it goes to the same screen as F1 ---5th choice is---- Boot to Utility Partition---strike F1 to continue, F2 to run the setup utility---F1---goes to Hardware diagnostics page ( Express Test, Extended Test, Custom Test, Symptom Test). ( I DID EXTENDED TEST---- ALL PASS). ---F2 to run the setup utility--- So with all this said WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP????? Please Inform me

The Last Post I Posted on Feb. 10, 2014 @ 7:54 pm is all that the computer does now. Nothing else except turn OFF/ON. Does this mean I have erased everything? If so, can I reload anything into it? If not, How will I get the computer to install from a disk, if it has no program to read the disk? Seems like I am getting deeper and deeper into the deep stuff, lol. But in my case I have no choice but to attempt to do this as my finances are all but broke (on Social Security Disability). Please Help
