Help me set up raid 0

Hi I'm trying to run my 8300 in raid 0.  I have 2 new blank identical harddrive and I want to take out my current drives by replacing the 2 old ones with the 2 new ones in raid.  I want to do a fresh install of everything and Im not sure how to do this.  I read in other forums that I needed a boot disc for the raid controller to work before it install windows xp.  I looked into my device manager and found a

SCSI RAID Controller listed a under this
        D344PRT SCSI Controller
        NERO IMAGEDRIVER SCSI Controller
        XMASSCSI SCSI Controller

these came with the dell I order and I would like to know if I can successfully do a raid 0 using these or do I need to buy a seperate pci card.  I have tried to look for the driver on the dell site but can't find any for IDE RAID.  If anyone can help me or give me instructions on how to set this up post it here.  Thanks.

The 8300 does not have onboard RAID - you will need a PCI RAID controller card.

ok once I get the card what do I need to do to set it up.  Do i have to download the driver into a floppy or can I boot it from a cd.  Do I install windows xp from there?

You will need to use the floppy to install Windows - the setup will not accept a CD-ROM; it must be done with a floppy diskette.

The card should come with a floppy containing the drivers.

One other thing - make sure you bought a card that corresponds to the drives you purchased (i.e., ATA100/133 RAID for PATA; SATA RAID for SATA drives).
