How do I setup 8100 to boot XP on Sata drives w/ Raid 0?

I want to eliminate my original (primary 0) ide drive from my system and use my 2 Maxtor sata drives (Raid 0 array) connected to a sata pci card as my boot device for XP. Right now I have a 2 different versions of XP (one on the ide and one on the satas) which I can boot seperately at startup on the OS selection screen. But when I disconnect the ide drive from my system it says primary drive 0 not found and gives me no option to boot to the satas. I've tried fiddling within the setup menu (turning off primary drive 0 and switching the Hard Drive Sequence so the satas are first... but no luck) I noticed under Boot Sequence (in setup) that there is no option for the satas. There's Diskette drive, ide cd-rom device and Hard Disk Drive C:. Is there a way to add the satas to this list or am I totally off track on this?

Here's some info:
Dimension 8100/Limited
Bios version A09
Powerleaped 2.8 ghz
2048 gb rdram
2-Maxtor DiamondMax 100gb Serial ata/150 7200rpm 8mb cache Raid 0
Buslink Serial ata pci card

Hope that's enough info...thanks for reading....RPM

Does the sata pci card you installed show up in the boot order??
Check it with the ide connected and not connected. does it disappear when you disconnect the ide drive?

Have you tried turning OFF the ide controller for that IDE drive in the bios, change from Auto to OFF
should be primary 0
