How to make Windows Media Player Default DVD player?

Is this possible? I've had trouble with media center which has the jumpy dvd playback. Windows media players plays it fine. Is there any way to make Windows Media Player my default DVD player?   THanks.

in wmp, have you tried tools>options>file type?

Yes, I tried that but it still brings up DVD's in the media center. Maybe the decoder runs from there or something? Any other ideas? Thanks.

I had the issue too, there is a registry change out there but I can't find it. Seems dumb to purchase a media centre and not have it as the default DVD player....? I am going to keep looking for the reg key, I found it once before I will find it again.
