How to plug HD on ULTRA ATA100 TX2 Promise controller

Hi everybody, Eric here from Paris (sry for bad english)

it seems i've been out there for a long time.

My system (don't laugh)

XPSR350at800 now after CPU upgrade

512 MB RAM

WinXPPRO

original HD : WD 6.4Gb ATA33 (1998 guys ) on MOBO

2ND HD : Maxtor 40Go ULTRA ATA100 on promise TX2 controller

OS on C: Win98SE on WD6.4Go

OS on G: WinXP_PRO

Multi_Boot works fine for 2 years but now as i don't use Win98 SE anymore and i'd like to set as first HD on C: my Maxtor40GoATA100 and keep as backup or basic storage the old WD6.4Gb

Questions : What if i unplug from Mobo the C: (WD 6.4) and plug it to the second channel on Promise controller ? will i have it behind the WD40Go ?

Do i have to have at least 1 HD on MOBO ? or can i have all my HD on the controller ?

I know i will have to reinstall all but it is not a pb.

What i want is :

C: my Maxtor 40Go ata100

D: My old WD6.4Go

Both on promise controller himself on PCI slot

Do u think it is possible ?
