Insert Blank Disk Message when using AnyDVD

Question

I just got a new Dell XPS630 PC.  AnyDVD is installed.   When I try to copy a dual-layer commercial DVD, I get a message saying 'Insert Blank Disk'.   Now of course, I have already inserted a blank disk.  I've tried three brands of DVD+R disks: Imation, Verbatim, and TDK.  No change.   If I use a blank dual-layer disk then the PC proceeds with the copy.  It seems as if the PC (Vista??) has some helpful (??) setting that tries the match the capacity of the destination blank DVD with the size or type of the source DVD.   If I disable AnyDVD then I don't get the 'Insert Blank Disk' message.  I'd like to use AnyDVD to compress a DL source disk onto a single layer destination DVD+R disk.   The Dell Forum has a message thread describing a similar problem which Dell Technical Support fixed by doing something to a 'tag' in the registry.  The thread doesn't describe the solution.   Any ideas? My apologies to the forum members for wasting their time. I made a stupid mistake.

My problem involved Roxio Easy Media Creator (EMC). I was accustomed to using version 9 to copy DVDs. I recently upgraded to version 10 in which you use a different EMC applet to copy a DVD. Everything is fine.

My bad.
