Inspiron B120 Diag Test Error Code 1000-0147
I woke up this morning with my laptop trying to reboot itself after God knows what. I ran the diagnostics and the Short DST test failed with error code 1000-0147 along with the message: No additional sense information. After deciding not to retry the test, it said below that Test Results: Fail, Error Code: 1000-0141: No hard drive detected. So, can I assume that my hard drive is lost and I need a new one? Is there any chance to save what I have on the hard drive? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you need a new hard drive. If the system isn't seeing a hard drive at all, the only way you'll get your data back is by employing a data recovery service - such services are very good, but very expensive (the cost can easily run into a couple of thousand dollars).
