Linux Boot CD
First time on Dell's Forum. Have an Optiplex 960 with a seriously infected Operating System. Trying to boot to a Linux boot CD to salvage data from it. However, any Linux boot CD I try to load is failing/hanging after its initial loading process. This includes the latest/greatest CD's from both Knoppix and Ubuntu. Any suggestions?

Hi Youngjcommunity,
Try your OS disc, just so you're using a disc I'm sure will boot that system.

You don't need the latest and greatest Linux. I would suggest PuppyLinux 4.3.1. It even boots from USB. Very lightweight less than 100MB but enough to recover your data.
