Yes, you need to enable the drive in setup, and then use the disc administrator (control panel-admin tools-computer management) to partition and format it.

Hi,

Which one do I change? Primary Master, Primary Slave Secondary Master or Secondary Slave? I set it up as cable-select, so not sure which one I should change. The boot drive should be primary master and my two CD drives are secondary -do I change the primary slave to auto?

Hi thanks for your reply

How do you enable the Hard drive in setup - what do I change in the Bios - the Hard Drive is set as cable select, but how do I get the F2 setup to auto detect the hard drive?

Thanks

sonic

Go into the drives settings and turn the channel corresponding to where you've connected the drive from "not installed" to "auto".

Yes, that's the one to change.
