Need Help with imapi.sys for XP sp2

I just got a D820 and am having an issue with the CDRW/DVD.  I spent a half hour on the chat site last night with Dell to no avail, but I now am convinced this is a Windows problem, not a Dell issue.  The system is not recognizing the drive as a CDRW - it shows up as a CD-ROM.  That means I can't burn a CD with it.  Microsoft Article ID:  883523 describes the issue I have to a tee.  I checked the version of imapi.sys on my machine and it is an older version than they indicate in the article as being available via a hotfix.  I need to get a copy of imapi.sys, Ver. 5.1.2600.2505.  Can anyone help me out with that?  I know Microsoft supposedly makes these available at no charge, but everything I see there wants a credit card to charge me, then they'll decide if I really owe them something or not - not my favorite way to do business.

Also, I tried updating the drivers from the Dell site, but they only have drivers posted for the TS-L462C and the drive I have is a TS-L462D.  It just gives me an error message saying the drive is not the correct model for the updated driver.

Any help I could get in finding the updated imapi.sys file would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the lead.  I tried that and now it shows up in the "Send to.." in Explorer, so I can burn to a CD from Windows.  It's still not showing up in the EZCD Creator, but that doesn't really surprise me any more - Roxio is a first class joke with the software they publish.

Good information - I really appreciate it.  Have a great week.
