Not a valid win32 apps - when running program from CD

When I tried to run any programs from all CDs, I received error message "Not a valid WIN32 application".
I've tried updating BIOS, INTEL, reinstalling ROXIO drivers, but nothing work. Same with uninstalling the device then let the system installed the driver again.

I can open other files on the cd ( pic, mp3, doc etc. ) and writing to CDR also no problem. I can run programs from my hardisk / diskettes.

Any other ideas to try will be highly appreciated.

Hi Gunnerz,
Most of our Regular members in the BIOS conference, recommend using a BIOS update offered by Dell instead of one from Intel. I did a quick search on Google and there was a huge number of hits dealing with the above error message, ranging from IDE cables to RAM, Motherboard, IDE controllers, corrupt downloads, drivers, apps and the list goes on. Do you recall any updates / software installs just prior to receiving this error?
Some standard steps: Click on the CD/RW gif in my post and scroll to Section 11, article 2, "Clearing the NVRAM"; Section 100, article 31, "Upper & Lower Filters"; Section 20, article 3, "Reloading the IDE controllers".

Best Regards

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
