The device drivers for your DVD burner are generic to the OS, so, no, you're not going to find updated drivers.

Looking at the Avantrix site, it does not appear any of their products claim to be supported under Vista. Probably time to move on to something else.

Vista has its own built-in CD and DVD burning capability. You might try that. If you dislike Windows Media Player (I certainly do!), here are some free CD burning utilities. I use Nero, but it's very expensive to purchase the newest version.

Your info led me right to where I needed to be. I already had been using imgburn for DVD writing. I went to the site, updated my app, and I can now use that to write my audio CDs as well as DVDs.  I belong to emusic.com and I convert a lot of MP3s to WAVs ( I use open source CDEX for that) and now with imgburn i'm  back in business for burning my CDs. I'm with you, I hate Windows Media player and avoid it whenever possible for this type of thing.
