Playing DVD Problem - like in fast forward???
Hello anyone who can help.
I have a Dell Dimension computer, 4600 i think, but i'm not sure. had it for a while. My DVDROM is a LITEON LTD163, and my video card is an NVIDIA GeFORCE4 MX 440 with AGP8X. I recently bought the game Civilization 4, and was having troulbe running it. i have 256 MB of RAM, and a Pentium 4 2.40 GHZ processor. So i first upped my virtual memory to the max. didn't help any, then i went and downloaded and installed the driver upgrade for my video card, which worked miraculously as my computer no longer shut down the game when little videos popped up as part of the play. however, i shortly after went to watch a DVD on my computer, and when put in the drive and loaded it would register and begin to play in PowerDVD, however, it would only play in a fast forward mode. i've tried everything i can with the player, but nothing will work. do i need to upgrade other drivers to follow with the video card upgrade? or how do i slow down the dvd player so i can actually watch.
thanks very much in advance

Hi Bamm Bamm,
Video drivers updates have been known to corrupt decoder software at times. Usually uninstalling / reinstalling PowerDVD will correct the problem. Please give this a try.

Hi Bamm Bamm,
So much for "usually". Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1 & Section 20, article 3. These cover driver issues, Windows should re-install the proper drivers once again.
Best Regards
