Problem playing AVI files on a Toshiba SD-C2202 DVD player in my Inspiron 7000

I cannot get video (with either WinAmp or Real Player) when playing back an AVI file from my Toshiba SD-C2202 on my Inspiron 7000. I get the audio fine but no picture.

Do I need a driver update? I cannot seem to find anything suitable on the DELL driver download site.
