Recovering files from an Iomega backup

Hi:

I need to restore some important files I lost, which are backed up on an external hard drive using Iomega's Automatic Backup Pro. Unfortunately I only have a complete system backup image to work with (some 23 GB, split into 6 .IAB images.) I don't really want to restore my whole system, since the backup was made a while back.

What are my options?

I haven't used the backup program that you note, but others that I have used offer the option of specifying that newer files are not overwritten in a restore.  If you can select that option, you could run the restore and only items that are missing or older than what is on your backup would be written to your hard drive.

Thanks jb122.

My software has that feature, but apparantly only for backed up data, not for a complete system backup. Unless someone has a better idea, I guess I'm off to the local Computer Shop to see what they can recover.
