Roxio DVD Player/Burner Installation Software

Question

My Dell Inspiron 1501 came with Roxio DVD software, but I lost it when I had to re-install Windows Vista. Now I want to re-install the DVD player software but couldn't find the Installation CD. Is there any way I can get a copy of it or perhaps download it online? I'm out of warranty with Dell and I don't remember if I registered it with Roxio. I think (but I'm not sure) it didn't ask me to register as it was pre-installed and ready to use when I received my laptop.    Otherwise, what is free software I can get for it? I tried NERO and NCH, who advertised FREE download, but they are not free once you get to their download links.   Please help!!! Thanks in advance...

that I take it you mean the DVD Decoder software. A good free
version is VLS Media Player that you can try here ................
