Samsung CD-R/RW SW-240B errors

I have a Dell Dimension 8250 with a Samsung CD-R/RW SW-240B burner and it has been burning about 50 to 70 percent of cd's and then it quits. Every once in a while I can actually burn a whole cd after wasting several cd-r's. I get device error 04/91/41. Does anyone know what this is? And how to fix it.

Hi DlDowling,

Click on the CD/RW gif in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1 and see if this might be related to possible corrupt driver.
Also verify that you have DMA enabled for the drive, articles 14 & 13 in the same Section 15.

Best Regards

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.
