Seagate 750
HI, i recently brought Inspiron 15r i5 6gb ram with seagate 750gb..more precisely ST750LM022 HN-M750MBB and started installing drivers, i step'd upon:
"SEAGATE ST9500423AS
Windows/Usb based firmware update for ST9500423AS/ST9750420AS"
which i thoughtlessly decided to install.. and so i tried.. laptop did a reboot, started changing files in dos and stopped suddenly.. so i thought i'll give him a while, after 30min nothing changed, so i rebooted it, and was happy that it works.. then i started to hear something like the exact copy of
Floppy disc drive sound.. which the laptop is making non-stop, whole the time.. and i didn't hear it before.
Could the driver spoil/mess my HDD?

Hi Darkzakrza,
That is not a driver but a firmware update. You should be able to check the device properties to determine if the firmware was actually updated.
