Seagate Barracuda 2TB Internal Hard Disk Installation problems.

I have a Dell XPS running Windows Vista with some NVDIA drivers.   After downloading a fresh NVDIA driver I was able to successfully format a 2TB Segate Internal Hard Disk.   I am able to label the 2 volumes that I made with Computer Management.   They then seem to be working properly.  When I turn off the computer they become unlabeled and are called "New Volume" .   I certainly can supply more information and probably need to, but any suggestions as to how to get the "G" and "H" partitions of the 2TB drive to keep their "G" and "H" and be useful?

How old is the unit? Have you ever replaced the small 3025 battery on the motherboard? The battery only cost 3-5 dollars and would be the place I would start. The system maintains the G & H information as long at it is powered up and lose's it when turned off, points to the battery.

I bought it about June of 2009 and haven't replaced the battery.  Thanks for the suggestion.

No, this isn't a battery issue because the partition information is saved by Windows. If you reboot and the partition information is lost, there's a different problem.

Thanks for the offer to post back, Osprey4, I still haven't solved the issue.

The drive is now recognized.   My son fixed it for me, the answer involved removing the drive from RAID and doing something with the master boot record.
