Look in the Device Manager .........

Start | Control Panel | System in classic view | Hardware tab | Device Manager

Click on the (+) next to DVD/CD-ROM drives.  Right-click the drive and select Properties.
Is there an Error Code (number) present?

Try this Dell Article for removing the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters
in the Registry here .............

Disregard the reference to Roxio.

THANKS! That article really helped. In the regedit I didn't look in the Class-folder but in other folder were same key nr. can be found but with no upper-/or lowerfilters to be found except for the standard file.

Thanks again, it seems to be working now.

Cheers!
