Where did you find the processor info from?
Try this, if you haven't already.
Click the start orb =>then right click 'Computer' => at the bottom of the drop box click 'Properties'
Under 'System' you'll see:
Processor:
What does it say here?
Should say something like: "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz 2.93GHz"
If it says "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU", then it's a "Core2 Duo'. The "E7500" is just an example yours may be different.
Google what it says there, for example: "Intel Core2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz"
You should find the Intel website with complete description of the processor.
