When are they open

Question

Hi   I have had a problem with my hard drive, apparently RAID0 is failing, although it is only 5 months old.  I have tried to ring Technical support since Christmas Eve and it is closed (UK) does anyone know when they are opening again so I can arrange a call out.   Thanks to anyone that replies   Lel

lel1   Maybe Dell is close for Christmas and Boxing day, I've checked their site, but can find no references to it. As Christmas day falls on a Sunday, do you take an extra day's holiday because of this?   Bev.

Hi

Yes we do so today is a bank holiday and some firms are open tomorrow but a lot are not opening all week and not going back until Tuesday as next Monday is also a Bank Holiday in lieu of New Years day on the Sunday. I shall just have to keep trying and hope I get answered eventually. Seems a bit silly with all the new PC's and laptops that were probably brought as presents and people might need to contact Tech support and get no where. Anyway thanks for your help shall just keep on using it and hope it lasts out until I get an answer from someone from Dell.

Hi   I did on Christmas Eve when I got no answer on the phone, had an automated message saying they would reply within 24 hours and haven't heard anything, if no one is there I suppose there isn't anyone to answer the e-mails.   Lel

lel1   As you are using RAID 0, back any data you wish to save to other media, ie CD's, because if one of the hard drives fails, you will have lost everything.   Bev.
