cd/dvd drive

On 6-16-09 I had my motherther board replaced how ever when I try to bur a cd with windows media 11 I get a red x on the what I try to burn is there any one whom can help? By the way My dell was bout with windows vista basic and I have not changed anything? And yes I down loaded the cd and dvd driver program on the driver page thanks,
