disk drive
so i pruchased a printer and went to put my disc in to install it and my disc drive doesnt recognize a disk being in the drive. i tried other movies and nothing works. does anyone know how to repair this or what do i need to do?

Hi,
There are various reasons for the DVD/CD not getting recognized in the system.
To isolate the issue, I recommend you to perform the following steps:
1. Insert the Dell Operating System CD or the Dell Drivers and Utilities CD into the optical drive.
2. Turn off your computer.
3. Once you restart, keep tapping the F12 key.
4. Please choose the option to boot to CD/DVD
If the Operating System CD or Drivers and Utilities CD loads this means that the optical drive is working fine.
To help you further, please help me with the Operating System loaded on the system.
