error (0xc0000006) Help Please!

First off, I am not good with computers, so any help is greatly appreciated.  I have went to other sites seeking help, but haven't been fortunate.  The specs of my laptop are "Xp media center 2005, intel centrino, dual 512?"  Now back to the point.  I left my computer hibernating for three days, and now when i try and log-in, i get the "userinit.exe failed to initialize (0xc0000006)" message, same goes for most of the programs.  I've tried system restores, and last known good configuration.  I believe my problem is worst than most, because my disc drive isn't working, and my internet comes up "page cannot be displayed."  (I can't even check my firewall settings to see if Internet was blocked, Firewall/ (ICS) cannot be started).  So that doesn't allow me to run a Hi-Jack this report.  Can anyone give me advice?
