hard help

I got 9300
 
with 60gig,,7200rpm...
 
but can only find about 50gig shown...? any ideal.s

Well you have the Dell system Utility Partition...small.

Dell Systen Restore Partition...Usually like 3+ gb.

And a 60 Gb drive will format out to about 57 gb

The OS and programs take like 4 GB.

Plus Harddrive MFRs use a GB of 1 billion bytes(10 to the ninth power), but OS's use a GB of 1.0737 billion bytes(2 to the 30th Power). That makes a 60gb drive start at 55.9gb before you or Dell do a thing to it.

wow,,I also noticed I did not ship with OS recovery disks,,,,,that must be new?  I dont like that.

Bug Dell about sending you them to you. They started sending all the recovery programs on a Restore Partition on your harddrive, but it is NOT popular.
