Hi raitzes,

Thank you for your reply and I am glad to know that the issue has been resolved. The 8GB partition is used for Hibernation and the remaining space is used as "Cache" to store ferquently accessed data using  Intel Smart Response Technology. You can check the full size of the mSATA card on the BIOS main page by tapping the F2 key at the Dell logo.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi raitzes,

Thank you for your reply. You will to disable "Acceleration" from the Intel Rapid Storage Technology application to disconnect the SSD without losing data and damaging the Operating System.

Hi raitzes,

Thank you for your reply. You can check the time taken to load an application using a stop watch with the acceleration disabled and enabled. This will let you know the difference in real time.

Copying and pasting my question from another (older) thread:

... am in the same situation and I cannot make this work past creating the hibernation partition. What steps should be taken in the BIOS settings and what should I expect afterwards? I changed to RAID but after that when I boot I am taken to the RAID configuration UI but am not sure what to do from there. Any help would be appreciated.
