start/run/msconfig error message...says operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer
Whenever I try to click on Start, Run, and type in msconfig, I get this message..."Operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
Also, when I right click on My Computer and select Properties, the error box says..rundll32.exe - Entry Point Not Found. "The procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll." When I click this box off, my properties do come up.
Also, everytime I start my computer my system 32 property box comes up on the desktop.
Also, I cannot get my Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect to enable. and there is an error with my Norton antispam. Norton told me to fix this by running it through the msconfig, which is non-existent on my computer right now. What a Catch 22!
Thanks for any infor you guys have...Have a great day!

OK, since you didn't post your system information, I'm having to guess at some items.
Whenever I try to click on Start, Run, and type in msconfig, I get this message..."Operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
This normall occurs when the profile you are using doesn't have administrator priviledges. Boot to the safe mode, log on as administrator & see if you can then run MSCONFIG.
I found the following fix for this:
http://www.updatexp.com/rstrui-exe-entry-point-not-found.html
Also, everytime I start my computer my system 32 property box comes up on the desktop.
Here's a fix if you have a SoundBlaster Audigy card
Uncheck /:L ENG from start-up in msconfig, but if you ever open the Audigy 2 Welcome program again the entry will be back. (Just uncheck it again)
Also, I cannot get my Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect to enable. and there is an error with my Norton antispam. Norton told me to fix this by running it through the msconfig, which is non-existent on my computer right now. What a Catch 22!
Generally, This type of issue occurs if you have a virus attack that disables your antivirus. Try an on-line virus scan:

Use the free on-line virus scan.
Last but not least, this all appears to be software related, you might get better answers faster on the software forum
