unknown samsung sw-240B error

My cd-rw, which is a samsung SW-240B, is no longer working. It doesn't
acknowledge any disc, but the operating system sees it fine, and with no
problems known. I can't figure out how to get it working again.


I have searched the internet and found only the same problem on message
boards, but no soultions. I have upgraded the firmware from samsung. I
have searched for new drivers everywhere. I have tried to get windows to
fix it by uninstalling the hardware, and letting it reinstall itself.

please help.
