using Seagate's Disktools on Optiplex with no DOS USB mouse support

hello people, Im a newbie, i do support for a large organisation that almost all Dell systems. We have quite a few new Optiplex GX2xx (various models!) these boxes have no ps2 ports for keyboard and mouse one machine we suspect has a possible with its hard disk, and I wish to use Seagate's Disktools software which Seagate recommend in the event of hard disk suspect. I made up the boot cd from Seagate's site, but cant use keyboard or mouse in DOS, as they are usb. Anyone come across this problem? I have seen a few DOS usb mouse drivers, but they are all aimed at normal clone PCs which have an entry in the bios that says 'enable legacy DOS USB support' or similar which Dell systems dont have. Ive mentioned it to Seagate's support of course.

You get the PS2 Serial port card for these systems or you do the partitioning on a GX240 or other GX series that DOES have PS2 Mouse.

actually just found this machine /does/ have normal ps2 ports,

turns out hard disk was ok, was getting a whining noise from a bad cpu fan,

gave this a quick rub with a paintbrush and cleaned all the dust out,

our training room full of Dells is nice and silent again. :o)
