what is code ST340014A Fail Return code 7?

My machine is down providing error codes that indicate hard drive error ST340014A Fail Return Code 7.  The code also said unmountable_boot_volume and I ran the hard drive test above and received the code.  I could use some help on a remedy to fix the problem     Thanks in advance for your help   Powens3540

Hi This is your hard drive Seagate ST340014A and the error code is Return Code 7 ! I was told a long ago if my drive comes up with that code it was time for a new hard drive ! I had to get a new drive. Good Luck

You are welcome But sorry for your bad luck as the old saying goes it does happen ! You may be able to put the drive in a usb case and get the info off of it if it is not completely gone may be worth a try ! Good Luck
