Are you looking at STP from an older code level e.g. 5773 for example?

The reason I ask is there is no "Total local write pending count" in STP at 5876.

In 5876 there is "Total cache slots in use (SRDF/A metric) and that matches the system WP count which includes the SRDFA cycles (active and inactive). The "local" is the count of the local WP's not including the SRDFA cycles.

The value displayed for the Total Local Write Pending Count is the count of cache
slots with writes pending to the local device. This count is a device-level statistic
summed for all devices in the Symmetrix array.

The value displayed for the Total System Write Pending Count is the count of
cache slots with any write-pending flag. Cache slots can have either writes
pending to a local device, writes pending to a remote device, or both. This count is
a system-level counter. When a cache slot has both the local- and
remote-writes-pending flag set, it is counted only once.

Therefore, Cache Slots in Use plus the Local Write Pending Count does not equal
the Total System Write Pending Count, because Cache Slots in Use and Local Write
Pending Count both include every cache slot in those states, while the Total System
Write Pending Count is the sum of slots with either or both of those states. So a
cache slot with both a local write pending and a remote write pending increases
the individual counts of each but increments the total count only by one.
