Methods for managing esxi5.1

We have some systems that currently have esx 4.0 with OMSA installed.  We can access OMSA via the web interface (https://servername:1311), command line from ESX, or tools like OpenManage Essentials.

Once we move to esxi and the OpenManage VIB, I know OpenManage Essentialls will still work, but are there any other methods to directly query OpenManage?  For example I used to use the web interface to drill down for hardware problems, resync RAID, etc.  OME seems a little lacking there.
