OpenManage 4.4 Managed Node Service Pack

The open manage 4.4 manage node service pack installation (OMI-SysMgmt440-32-339_A00.msp)fails on every machine I tested with the error that the product to be patched is not installed (but it is definitely).
 
Having a look at the log file shows a GUID missing{B75FBC14-F22D-4190-B50D-648A754C534D}. Searching the registriy for the GUID had no results.
 
The systems tested were PowerEdge 2650 an 2850 with Windows 2003 SP1 (german).
 
Any hints?

OMI-SysMgmt440-32-339_A00.msp is to upgrade Open Manage 4.3 to 4.4. It will not perform a complete installation. You will need to use OMI-SrvAdmin-Dell-WIN-440-32-339.exe to perform the initial installation.

It would be a good idea in my eyes to add this explanation to the information for the service pack...
