R720 iDrac 7/R630 iDrac 8 syslog

Servers: R720 iDrac 7 enterprise, R630 iDrac 8 enterprise

I configured remote syslog but simply don't see any traffic from them on remote server.

I read help on drac and saw this:

For the logs to be sent to the remote server, make sure that:

  • There is network connectivity between iDRAC and the remote server.
  • The remote server is running on the same network as iDRAC.

Does this mean that the remote server must be running on the same subnet as iDrac?

My remote syslog server and iDrac is running on the different subnets but network connect is available.

What can I check else?

I have the same problem.  R730, iDRAC 8 enterprise.  To test it, I enabled email alerts as well, did a test with a PSU0001 code, and I get the email but nothing appears in my syslog server.  My iDRAC and syslog server are on the same subnet and can see each other.

No Events found!
