IDRAC6 v1.80 update to 1.96 exceedingly slow

Hey all, I'm updating the iDRAC firmware on my PowerEdge R710 Foglight FxM and FxV appliances from 1.80 to 1.96.  I have one appliance that is effectively unused so I'm using it to test on.  

The entire environment is remote so I do not have access to use physical media.  I'm installing via the iDRAC web console from a VM Windows Server 2008R2 with IE9 that is in the same vlan as the appliances.  I typically use this same VM to hold FxM/FxV installations.  When I attempt to upload the firmimg.d6 it says that the "File upload is in progress" and I'm not confident that it will finish, although the page is still active.  It has been running today for 3 hours 20 minutes so far.  

I assume that this is significantly longer that one would expect?  Is there anywhere I can check progress, or see a log of errors?
