IDrac - Error CPLD version 103 after applying firmware and bios updates - Now all of the fans spin at High speeds

I have a PowerEdge T620  Server.   I was going firmware and bios updates on it..

Somehow the Idrac  (Which I didn’t use,  wont Initialize and the Lifecycle Controller says it is disable.  )

I cannot get them to turn on thru the Dell boot setup.

When the system boots it tries to Initialize iDrac (Even before the Dell screen comes up)…   After a few minutes it fails on the IDrac

Comes up with screens like this

After hitting F1 to continue a few times the Server boots into Windows 2008 R2 but the Fans are running at high speed..

I cannot update the Bios because it says it says Bios update is not supported using RBU.  I created a USB Dos boot and tried updating from there too..

I saw an article on the idrac issue from Dell saying IDrac needs to be updated to 1.30.30.21 or higher.

I just cannot figure out how to do it.    When I try thru the Dell updates under Windows 2008 it fails.   Is there any way to fix this?

Here are more things that happen, but I am not sure how to fix it...

Thank you

Hello

The LCC, fans, and some hardware update methods rely on the BMC/iDRAC. All of the symptoms you mentioned are caused by the iDRAC not initializing.

I suggest that you follow the steps I previously suggested in the threads you linked. If you are unable to update the iDRAC or re-flash the iDRAC firmware then you will likely need to replace the system board. The iDRAC is integrated into the system board.

Thanks
