BIOS A08 for Venue 8 Pro
Has anyone installed the A08 BIOS?
Is it safe?

I just installed it. Everything works fine. I did notice one thing though: before I updated, when my V8P was powered off, all I had to do was press the power button once to power it on. Now I have to press and hold the power button for four seconds to power it on.

I read on another forum that A08 might have improved the touch sensitivity issue. I just installed it, and I think he might be right.

I'm still on AO3 or AO4 due to the increased SD Card and internal memory settings... I don't suppose those ever came back?

I didn't see this post (or the one a few posts down) that mentions that you have to hold the power button down longer with A08. I noticed the same thing and asked about it in a post this morning. Glad to see that it's not just me. The manual does say "Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn on your tablet.", but with the A05 BIOS, it turned on with a click and release. Now I count to 3. (Update: Just powered up after holding it down for 2 seconds, just the way the manual says).
Has anyone else noticed an improvement with the on screen keyboard sensitivity?
